Pondicherry – Myriad Delights

I don’t think so you need any introduction About Pondicherry! You guys can have a gala time at this city; I went with my complete family for a three-day trip. It was after finding cheap hotel and flights deals for this city at zoomtra.com that we suddenly planned the trip. We liked everything about Pondicherry – temples, churches, colonial buildings, statues, and more. The well planned French style avenues and systematic town planning add to the sophistication about Pondicherry. The four beaches we visited one after another - Paradise Beach, Promenade Beach, The Auroville Beach, and Serinity Beach -are worth the visit. We also liked the Auroville (City of Dawn) and Sri Aurobindo Ashram (one of the wealthiest ashrams in India).

We had varieties of food in a number of Restaurants in Pondicherry such as Blue Dragon, Le Club, Rendez -Vous, Le Cafe, Aristo, La Terasse, and Sri Aurobindo Park Guest House. Whatever delicacies we had in these restaurants in Pondicherry, the taste is still lingering!

The experience of shopping in Pondicherry was great too. As it was a duty free union territory, we bought a number of items like apparels, fine silks, candles, incense sticks, etc. The tax-free feature added to the pleasure of shopping in Pondicherry.

The Beauty of Pondicherry

What a lovely city Pondicherry is. I recently visited this beach paradise and loved exploring around. The best part I like about Pondicherry is the standing statues, colonial buildings, temples, churches, French style avenues, the beach – especially waters hitting the stones at the shore. The town planning is worth mentioning about Pondicherry. What spurred me to visit this city are the photographs that my colleague showed to me. He came here to attend a marriage ceremony and at the same time enjoyed sight seeing too.

I love eating and shopping and this is materialized by the restaurants in Pondicherry as well as the centres of shopping in Pondicherry. There are four beaches in Pondicherry, viz. Promenade Beach, Paradise Beach, The Auroville Beach and Serinity Beach. I liked the Nightlife in Pondicherry. The city comes to life here in the clubs, discotheques, music centres, and pubs. We guys enjoyed a lot and experienced the nightlife in Pondicherry to the fullest.

I have heard about the low sales tax in Pondicherry. This further gave impetus to my idea of Shopping in Pondicherry. I brought home a lot of things, especially artifacts, apparel, electronics products, corals, pebbles, and more.
